The influence of preparatory classes on the candidates' achievement at the entrance exam of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies

This paper aimed to determine the differences in achievement at entrance exam between candidates who attended preparatory classes (PC) and those independently prepared for enrollment University of Criminal Investigation Police Studies (UCIPS). The study included 599 respondents (257 women 342 men) were divided into subsamples: 132 (WPC) 158 men (MPC) PC 125 (WNPC), 184 (MNPC) UCIPS. exam, addition success from high school, also includes tests assessment aptitude abilities (TAA), namely: test knowledge Serbian language literature (TSL), general (TGN) physical fitness (GPF). Differences groups determined by t-test independent samples a significance level p <0.05. It was found that WPC had statistically significantly better results TSL (14.35%) GPF (14.43%), while no significant difference TGN. In PC, all TAA segments better: 21.17%, TGN 10.51% 27.65%. obtained indicate structure manner performing which include detailed acquaintance with procedures, determination current level, correction errors, recommendations further improvement, positively impacted candidates' UCIPS exam.
